A Welcome Message from our Head of School

Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you for visiting our webpage and showing interest in Edith Weston Academy. Within the website, you will find useful information about our wonderful school and your child’s educational journey.

Edith Weston Academy is a family-orientated, welcoming and happy school which is surrounded by the beautiful landscape of Rutland Water.

At Edith Weston Academy, our aim is for every child to feel safe, valued, happy and to develop a love of learning whilst providing them with the experiences and opportunities to reach their full potential. Our passionate and dedicated staff team aim to provide exceptional care and an inspirational education for all of our children.

We have fantastic learning environments and extensive grounds which provide opportunities for our children to develop academically and personally. We have our own ‘Forest School’ area and swimming pool which all children benefit from. We harness a lifelong love of learning through an exciting and engaging curriculum which helps to instil high aspirations and encourages our children to ‘dream big’. We pride ourselves on our high-standards and expectations for all.

We have an excellent nursery called ‘Little Ospreys’ which offers a vibrant and immersive environment, provides children with a strong start to their education and empowers them to develop independence and a love of learning. Our nursery enables children to enjoy their early years, familiarise themselves with school life and begin Reception with very solid foundations. Our nursery is led by highly qualified practitioners who have a breadth of experience, a love of working with younger children and an extensive knowledge of the early years.

Families and the local community are important to us, and we work hard to involve families in all aspects of school life, fostering excellent communication and developing strong partnerships between home and school. Each and every member of our community is supported, respected and valued.

Edith Weston Academy is an exceptional school with a strong family feel and we look forward to meeting and welcoming new families into our community.

We have close links with St George’s Barracks (North Luffenham) and understand the challenges of military life. If you are moving to the area, please do get in touch to arrange a visit, gather further information or arrange transitional support.

If you have any further questions, or would like to visit Edith Weston Academy and have a personalised tour experience what we have to offer, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Warmest regards,

Ellie Kapler

Headteacher
