School Meals

Lunch Provision

All children in our school have the option of a hot school meal through our catering company The Farm Kitchen.

School Lunch Provider

We joined The Farm Kitchen in 2025, they are a family run farm in the heart of Lincolnshire. They prepare fresh hot meals to schools throughout Lincolnshire and now Rutland. To learn more about the providers please visit www.thefarmkitchen.com.

Parents who have children who recieve Free School Meal or Universal Free School Meal (Reception - Year 2) will recieve a email from The Farm Kitchen (this may go to your junk inbox). For those in nursery and those who pay for meals the school will advise you how to set up an account in your welcome pack.

Home School Agreement

As a small school we enjoy working closely with our parents and families. If you would like to be involved in the school, or you have any concerns, please come and speak to us and contact the school office.

School Uniform

Edith Weston Academy Uniform

Uniform list

School colours are navy blue, white and jade.  All of our uniform (with logos) is stocked at at ‘Kids and More’ in Oakham, you can order online from the website or visit the store (crown walk).  However, non-branded/logo’d polo shirts, trousers, skirts etc. can often be found more reasonably priced at other suppliers and most major supermarkets.

  • Navy blue school sweatshirt or cardigan
  • White or jade polo shirt
  • Grey or black trousers, skirt, pinafore or shorts
  • Blue or jade gingham dress
  • Black school shoes
  • White, black or grey socks or tights

 PE Kit

  • Plain white or navy t-shirt
  • Plain navy or black PE shorts
  • Optional School PE Hoodie, or plain navy hoodie (with no logos).
  • Plain navy or black jogging bottoms for outdoor PE in cold weather
  • Outdoor PE trainers
  • Socks (if tights are being worn, they will need to change)
  • A drawstring PE bag for storage

  Swimming

  • Swim shorts or swimsuit (no tankinis or bikinis)
  • Towel
  • Swim hat
  • Goggles 
  • Verruca sock or waterproof plaster (if your child has a verruca)
  • Swim kit bag

General

  • All hair that is longer than shoulder length needs to be tied up for PE
  • If ears are pierced, only one pair of studs are to be worn to school
  • Earrings need to be removed for swimming and PE. Children should be able to remove these themselves
  • In the summer term we recommend all children arrive at school with sun cream pre applied and wearing a sun hat (or can apply their own sun cream)
  • Children must not bring or apply nail varnish or make-up in school. False nails/ eyelashes etc are not permitted and should not be in school.
  • No jewellery except a watch (no smart watches for safeguarding reasons) to be worn in school

Items must be clearly labelled with your child’s name

Before & After School Clubs

 

Before School Club

Before School Club is available for our Reception - Year 6 children, it costs £5.00 and opens at 07:50am. Mr Williamson and Mrs Minns currently run this clubs. We require all booking are paid for on Arbor prior to attending.

After School Club

After School Club is available for our Reception - Year 6 children, it costs £5.00 and runs until 16:30. Mrs Minns currently runs this club. We require all booking are paid for on Arbor prior to attending.

 

In the event of an urgent need to book a club same day, please contact the school office.
